From what I understand, cards up through the 700 series weren't badly effected by running at speeds 2.0 x8 (= 1.0 x 16) so I doubt I'll suffer much from that. nvidia professional line card 16 gb 448 gb/s gddr6 256-bit 80 - 165 w 1. If it is also related to PCIe 1.0 performance limitations, then I suppose there will not be as much performance gain. So I plan on installing x5365 CPUs in both, which from what I understand should more than double performance.
